Logline:

Six teenagers are facing several challenges connected to becoming adults. They are forced to take decisions that will change the course of their lives.

Short synopsis:

The film is set in an Italian seaside province that is frequently abandoned by young people. At the end of high-school, a group of friends faces the important decisions presented by this life-stage. In the span of a few weeks the protagonists have to decide what to do with their futures, but mostly what to do with their friendship with each other. Being some of them interested in becoming artists they wonder if to seek the development of their creativity in a local setting as opposed to migrating to a larger city or abandoning these pursuits altogether.

Having been shot in Rimini, Federico Fellini’s birthplace, the film also poses the question: “how would the life of a young illustrator like the famed director used to be , look like today?” The film explores social and economic phenomena of our world by talking about youth unemployment, inequalities and cultural decentralisation. It’s a rare example of a fiction film that depicts Italian brain drain. It’s also a meditation on the passage of time, on natural cycles and on the transience of existence.
